We offer a 10% discount to all active and retired military personnel on everything – plants, gift shop, hard goods, landscape services.

We offer a 10% discount to all members of the DCH, PHS and Longwood Gardens on plants only.

On Sunday, March 22, 2020, Governor Carney ordered non-essential businesses in Delaware to close starting Tuesday, March 24th. Under the Governor’s orders, Old Country Gardens falls under the category of ‘Lawn and Garden Equipment and Supplies Store’ (#4442 in the North American Industry Classification System -NAICS) and is considered an essential business. We therefore will be staying open until instructed to do otherwise.

We will be following these rules to provide a safe environment for our staff and customers:

Our checkout line will have designated 6 foot spacing for all customers to easily follow.
We will be sanitizing all pens, credit card machines, counters and surfaces that people are coming in contact with regularly. For added safety, you could sign with your own pen.
We will ask all persons to maintain the recommended 6-foot distance from each other both inside the store and out in the nursery and parking lot.
We will ask all persons to refrain from physical contact with other persons while they are visiting Old Country Gardens.
We will limit the number of customers allowed in our shop to the recommended levels for safety.

We ask that everyone please follow these simple rules to keep everyone safe from infection. We understand the inconvenience and frustrations these restrictions create, but it is important that we do our best to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We will strive to have as complete a selection of plant and gardening materials as we can during this turbulent time.
